So I just got this idea...
I noticed that the game supports spanning (displaying the game across multiple monitors, extending the FoV). Unfortunately, Windows 7 (and possibly Vista) does not support spanning anymore. And even if it did, it's rather illogical to span across two monitors. Three is perfect, but two just doesn't work (I learned that playing Left 4 Dead and Burnout: Paradise with spanning monitors). So I propose Dual-view support. Dual-view is different from spanning because instead of forcing Windows to think it's displaying on one large monitor (like 2560x1024), it acts as two separate monitors. As an example, there's a game that takes advantage of this called Supreme Commander, where the first monitor has everything you'd normally see, but the second monitor contains a satellite view of the entire battlefield.
Having a feature like this would be very convenient. You would be able to display the typical game screen on the first monitor, but have extra details (cargo, chat boxes, objective information, maps, etc.) displayed on the second monitor. Maybe you could even customize what's displayed on the second monitor. Maybe you just want the entire second monitor to display your cargo, if you're carrying lots of it and want to keep track? Maybe you want to take up the entire monitor with a map? Or maybe a rear-view camera would be helpful. Spanning your field of view is inconvenient with two monitors, but a rear-view would make lots of sense!
Anyway, I could go on about this for a while, but maybe this could spark some creativity :) I really want to be able to use my second monitor for something, and I'm sure lots of other people do as well!

Yes, I agree that dual mode is weird. But we just added it there - it was almost by product.
We might reconsider it in future releases and make rear view or radar or map or whatever on the second monitor.

someone with $80 in free cash can get a huge advantage with that, maybe just an enlarged instrument panel.

I can force a FoV on most games for instance I am running Eve Online in that pic with a display size of 5760x1200. I had to use SoftTH to do it but it worked sort of (Have some clicking issues on the left and right screen)
I just hope this game would support it by default.
EDIT: Just found out that it does have Spanning but when I try to enable it just says I my computer doesnt support it. Even though I know it does =P Also there is no 5760x1200 option =/

according to tech demos the ccp team are sorting that multi monitor support of the directx side so the windows issue wont dome up at all any more, and with the multi monitor in the game how about just having it customisable with what your doing? like im mining so i want scan results and my cargo and a radar on my other screen, im exploring so radar, back veiw and ship stats or im fighting and i want radar, ship stats and a map or somthing

Drakon, we will add 5760x1200 into next release.
Did you try any other triple-head resolution?

Yes, I tried every Tri-Head res there was but came up with the same error saying the adapter doesn't support Tri-Monitors or w/e.

Drakon, I don't have large experience with triple-head configurations, but maybe it doesn't work for you because of SoftTH ? Because some other guys here on the forum who I assume have triple-head enabled by hardware can run MW on three monitors.
Btw thanks for all that visitors :)

LoL NP ^_^
I am not running SoftTH on Minerwars SoftTH basicly just forces a game to a multi head Res.
I have 2x8800GT's in SLI and an 8400GS setup. Monitor One and Two are on 8800GT One Monitor 3 is on the 8400GS.
I will wait for the update with the new resolutions and I will try to get a better log for you guys to work with.

No, SoftTH is like Nvidia Surround it lets you span accross monitors via software. Usually works great but with dev. help it works better.
