Will this game support surround gaming, multiple monitors, like ATI Eyefinity?

The game has been tested in Duel, and Triple Head monitors. So Nvidia Surround 3D is bound to work. Also if I understand the ATI Eyefinity, it just makes your display card render the output onto up to 6 monitors. I don't see why it wouldn't work, this is in Direct 3D 9. So I'm guessing the answer to your Eyefinity question is Probrobly. However I don't know anyone who's tested an Eyefinity card... Anyone have one?

Now I'm even more jealous. I just got enough space for 1 monitor and that's all :P
I wonder how it would be with 2-3 monitors while playing ArmA 2 ... *twistles*

Here is the game running on Tripple Head Monitors at 5760x1200

http://i.imgur.com/OsoaU.jpg

This is being done with SoftTH, I will be upgrading my computer to try and test this with Nvidia Surround but I need more money lol. SoftTH is a work around for people that dont have Triple Head2Go or Nvidia Surround or Eyefinity.

SoftTH has FOV issues though with most games but will get a game to run on all 3 screens ^_^

Wow Nice Saytek Joystick....!
Now I want one of those, U should post a picture of a different scene tho'
more rocks and ships for us to see how can we improve our gamming with panoramic vision.
U need a co0l desk for that eyefinity setup: http://www.primadera.4t.com/

okay my issue is: I have an eyefinity card (ATI HIS HD5770) but running on Win XP 64 bits.
As far as I understand eyefinity is not enabled unless you run Win Seven, Am I right?
Besides, I am running ultramon 64 also. What happens is that I see the video option double screen and triple monitor in the game video settings, but everytime I pick that one I get an error message...

Any help?

Could not wait, I just tried Minerwars and eyefinity, It worked like a charm, there is no issues within the game and the game itself did not report any problem.

BUT after closing the game windows 7 did report an issue, the explorer needed to restart.

Dont know if its related to the game itself or perhaps its related to Ultramon, latest version.

Will keep testing this and will have more info later.

Win 7 Ultimate 64 bits
Phenom X3 8650 @2.7ghz
ATI HIS HD5770

Update 08/29/2011
I am still playing Minerwars on eyefinity, No issues, no bugs, everything is working great even with ultramon.
While playing the game automatically render the view at 45 angles or perhaps little bit less (no way to measure this) because I believe its almost imposible to render a frontal view of 5400x1200 view, at some point it just start showing the sides. This happens also in NFS world, and PointBlank World from kaybo.

Is there any chance thay anyone can join me in a multiplayer session? I have read in the instructions that might be possible, just by inviting friends

great Game.....!

Oh man, thanks for the SoftTH info, Drakon! I never knew about it! Once I get my new video card after I get paid in a week, I'm totally going to try that out! If only I had three monitors that were the same size. I've got a 42" LCD that I use as my main display, a 28" LCD that I use in my cockpit, and a 22" that is on my guest computer. If this works well, I'll have to spend the cash I was going to spend on a TH2G on two knockoffs of my 28"!

To do real triple head rendering, you need a significantly bigger horizontal FOV. The best solution for this is not to render the scene once, viewer facing forward, using a wide horizontal view angle, but to make three renders with a smaller FOV and different view directions (like e.g. 45 deg to the left, straight forward, 45 deg to the right). Afaik that's the (only) way to get the most out of a wide angle screen setup.

On your photo it is clearly visible that currently the game output is simply stretched enormously. You would see the area to your sides in a properly rendered triple head setup.

That's an in-game renderer thing (if the renderer doesn't support it, you can't have it, and I doubt Minerwars can do this yet. It wouldn't be a big deal to add that though, probably even automatically via the aspect ration). I tried the same with D2X-XL, but just increasing the horizontal FOV doesn't work sufficiently well. You need to render several frames side-by-side at different view angles. Your view is a typical example of overly stretched horizontal FOV. The big deal about a triple head setup is that it will provide somewhat of a surround view, so you need to render what is at the sides of the player.

I understand that, however and AFAIK this is the way how most of the eyefinity compatible games works. I have tried this with NFS world, PointBlank, and it is about the same. Do u know about a game that does support this feature natively? Crysis? Left4dead? Drift? Would like to see and compare the difference betewen what I have and the real deal

Thanks alot for your support.

Update:
What about playing with these eyefinity settings

I am not entirely sure, but Colin McRae:Dirt seemed to do that.

Doing it the way I have outlined it would in any case provide the best possible surround video experience.

Have any of you have tried http://www.widescreenfixer.org/
it seems to manage the aspect ratio of the FOV, any comment?
Will try this later, no time now
